May Thazin Aung is a climate finance researcher at IIED working to promote locally led adaptation and access to climate finance to least developed countries. She has extensive experience using knowledge co-production methods to engage with diverse stakeholders and using policy analysis to promote evidence-based decision-making. She has worked in various thematic areas ranging from natural resource management, just transitions to green growth where she has sought to understand impacts of environmental degradation and climate change on the most marginalized groups in society.
